Water Cooling

For 3 years my main workstation computer has been air cooled . In that time I have used many methods to improve the air cooling efficiency, including having 9 fans air ducting, temperature control and neat wiring. In that time my computer has sometimes been cool and sounding like a jet engine and sometimes been whisper quiet and melting. I was never really happy and recently decided I had reached the limit of what air cooling could do for my system. I wanted great cooling and low sound. So I turned to water cooling as the next step in cooling my computer. Water cooling like air cooling is an ambient cooling method meaning you cant reduce the temperatures below ambient, however water is a much better holder of heat meaning I could get closer to those ambient temperatures in my processor cores. Water cooling works on the same principles as air cooling, heat is transferred from the processor to a metal block, water then moves the heat to a large radiator, the radiator is cooled by air. unlike a conventional heat sink a water cooled system moves the heat further from the processors before it is dispersed this makes for a more efficient cooling method. A water cooled system also uses a large radiator with large fans making for a quiet system

As technology spreads will we eventually integrate it into ourselves, we already do to an extent.
